How It Works

Six steps to a finished legacy

From your first message to your finished keepsake, the journey is calm, personal and entirely at your pace. Here is what to expect.

The journey

How it works

A calm, guided journey from first enquiry to finished keepsake — with you, or your loved one, at the centre of every chapter.

Make an enquiry

Send us a message and tell us a little about the story you would like to preserve — your own, or one belonging to someone you love. We will reply personally, answer any questions and take it from there.

Arrange a consultation

We agree a time that suits you for your personal consultation — by telephone or video call, whichever feels most comfortable. There is nothing to prepare and nothing to write beforehand.

Share your memories

In a relaxed conversation of up to 90 minutes, we listen as you share the moments that shaped your life — childhood, family, work, adventures and the small moments that matter most. A conversation, never a questionnaire.

We write your story

From our conversation, we craft a professionally written, carefully structured story of around 2,500–3,000 words — in your voice, with your own words at its heart.

Review and approve

You read your story at your own pace and request any revisions you would like. We refine the draft together until it feels exactly right — because it is your story, and it should sound like you.

Receive your keepsake

Your finished legacy arrives as a beautifully presented printed hard copy, delivered to your door — together with a digital keepsake PDF to share — and, if you have chosen it, a professionally narrated audio version to listen to, share and pass down.

On behalf of a loved one

Arranging it for a loved one

Every step of this journey can also be taken on behalf of someone you love — a parent, a grandparent, or anyone whose story deserves to be told. Many families commission a legacy as a gift for a milestone birthday or anniversary, or as a quiet tribute of appreciation for everything that person means to them.

We handle every conversation on their behalf with the same care and gentleness we would bring to our own family. And because some loved ones prefer to listen rather than read, the narrated audio version is often chosen — so that someone with limited vision can hear their own story told aloud, and hear in it how much they are loved.

Ready when you are

There is no obligation and no pressure — just a friendly first conversation about the story you would like to preserve.
